Hi there you lovely CH's. Nice to be able to get back in and have a natter with my friends again. Just had another mild stroke, but made sure I got plenty of rest and have now recovered (I hope). Still pining for the 'real thing' and I don't mean Coke. I am eagerly watching the post every morning, every day. One day I know, there is going to be a most wonderful surprise for me and it is going to be a hot one. It has been one long long wait and there have been many dissapointments along the way, but I just have this feeling that one day, one glorious day I shall have the joy of tasting a real Red Hot Chili Sauce. Lost all my Hot Peppers except one Rocoto. Getting some keen frost at nights now so I have it perched on the Ottoman at the foor of the bed. This morning I was shocked to see every branch covered in tiny red objects with waving legs. Aphids! Thousands of them. I carried the Rocoto into the Bathroom and sprayed it with Aphid killer. Left it a few hours then went and brushed every Aphid off, swilling them down the plug hole. Gave the plant another light spray with Aphid killer and replaced it back on the Ottoman. Surprised to see the Aphids so active at this late day and with such cold weather. The bedroom is unheated and gets very very cold. Brrrr! Being old and sick, they have just installed central heating for us and one day we shall be able to switch it on, hopefully in the next day or two, then the Rocoto will be warmer. Already it has about fifteen, 1.25 inch by 3/4 inch peppers hanging on it and it would be wonderful to have them reach their full size. Then I will really have a story to tell my CH friends. Love you all. Walt. CH#2218. An old Chile-Head from the old country.
