Well, Doug, after a cold winter in New Mexico, I have decided to try a grow Esplette peppers, from Basque country, true to "very old" New Mexico. Habaneros may be hot, but New Mexico prefers "hot flavor", after years of experience. I know that sounds like heresy to many chileheads, but the truth sometimes moves out. I seldom find any New Mexican that prefers a habanero hot to a green chile flavor! Any comments from New Mexicans?
