Composting news: I talked with our extension horticulturist today. He indicated that Byrons idea would work ok -- about a 3:1 ration of sawdust to manure. You have to get the composting process to be past the peak temperature and start cooling before you plant/transplant. You still might need to add some fertility during the growing season as compost is mostly organic matter after the heating/decomposition is done.
