If you have a 90 day growing season here's a tip from the granite pile
with about an 80 growing season

Select varieties with a 60 to 70 days to maturity, Most of the Northern
seed suppliers carry them
Like Stokes, Harris, Johnny's, Vesey's etc.

Start seedlings 12 weeks before plant out, grow in a 3.5 to 4" dia
pot. At about 8 weeks transplant into 1 gal pots. This will give you
the equivalent of an extra few weeks in the field.

Do not use High N fertilizers.

If you can, a high tunnel hoop house for the first 4 weeks and last 4
weeks will increase yeilds

Helps with tomatoes and eggplant also.
