This was tonight's dinner. Basically a stir-fry of shrimp with chile paste. Delicious. * Exported from MasterCook * Shrimp Oriental Recipe By : adapted from 15 Minute Low Carb Recipes by Dana Carpender Serving Size : 2 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Level 1 Low Carb Main Dish Seafood Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 1/2 tsp Splenda Sweetener 1 tbsp Penzey's Bangkok Seasoning 2 scallions (green & white parts) -- thinly sliced 1/2 lb large shrimp -- deveined & shelled 1 tsp chile paste w/garlic 2 tsp garlic -- minced 2 tbsp vegetable oil Accompaniment: cauliflower "rice" -- OR basmati rice -- cooked In small bowl, combine salt, pepper, Splenda and Bangkok seasoning. Mix well. Make sure all ingredients are prepped before cooking. Very important tip! In a wok over HIGH heat, heat the oil. Add the shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until they're almost pink. Add the chile paste and garlic, and continue to stir-fry. When the shrimp are completely pink, add seasoning mixture. Stir for 30 seconds. Turn off heat and divide shrimp between serving plates. Top each serving with a sprinkle of scallion. Yield: 2-3 servings, 2g carb, 1g fiber, total useable carbs 1g and 25g protein, 288 calories per serving - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : Risa's notes: If you don't have Bangkok seasoning, omit.
