Here are some pictures taken in Albuquerque by one of our fellow pod-heads Tim O. aka Voodoo & are also posted on another list that many of us belong to. I'll post the links along with his comments. (Note: the first link will be a small size file and the second link will be a huge file of the same picture. Tim doesn't have his photo editing software on the laptop he's using)

Hot Shots... they must have had over 1000 types of hot sauce (I don't think it is too much of an exageration!!!)... ck out the pic on full size and see if you can count... and there were twice as many on the back wall LOL

Dave DeWitt and the Queen... he is a busy man but none can resist the pepper charms of the Queen! (My note: Some of you will recognize Beth aka The Aji Queen. She was at Open Fields last year)

This photo is for our buddy JohnT... I met the folks (they are originally from Peru) that make the only commertial roccoto sauce on the market (don't worry buddy I got your back and talked them out of a little!!!). This is also an idea of how the show is... imagine 200-300 more photos and vendors like this LOL. I tried the sauce... it has that different "thick" burn you can't scrape off with your teeth LOL...

This next photo is brought to yoou by the Voodoo Restauraunt review LOL... When I pulled into Santa Fe I was lost, disoriented, and confused LOL... I drove around but couldn't find any street on my map (only had the major streets LOL)... Then I decided to pull in somewhere I could look at my map and ask directions. I was also hungry! I noticed a sign for a restaurant and I saw a line of folks out front... so I pulled in the lot (figured I could at least look at my map). The parking lot was full. Very full. I got curious and walked up and made my way to the front of the line. They told me it would be 5-10 minutes before I was seated and took my name.

I walked outside and looked at the place... a hole in the wall! I was likely the ONLY tourist in the place... it was run down, yellow trim and old doors that went "BANG" when they closed... but locals were lining up to eat there... I waited the 10 minutes!!!!

I have a friend that grew up in New Mexico, and he told me everyone must try the New Mexican flat enchiladas... green chile or red... you can't go wrong!!!

So I ordered the Pork Adobado (bar b que pork... spelling may be different LOL)... flat enchiladas. I ordered them "Christmas" style (half red sauce and half green sauce)... The dish is flat corn tortillas with sauce stacked with tender bar b que pork, cheese, topped with an egg that I ordered "easy over". There were sides of pinto beans and thinly sliced grilled potatoes (with a fresh thick tortilla on the side). Half of the sauce was red (strained red chiles making a smooth tangy red sauce)... and green (fire roasted green chiles chopped and with a green tomatillo chile sauce). All covered with a perfect "easy over" egg (traditional northern New Mex dish and so tasty when the yolk mixes with the chiles).

I am trying to describe this dish so you can imagine just how awesome it is... It was one of the best things I have had for quite some time!!!!
