Probably just a function of whatever names the collector happened to put. E.g., if collected from a market, a common name would likely be included in the accession notes, but if personally collected in the wild by the botanist who is thinking only in terms of botanical name, probably no vernacular name would be included (or, arguably, relevant). > My first year growing both. You really want at least two plants because most accessions of C. cardenasii are supposed to be self-sterile. If you didn't already, you should treat your other cardenasii seeds before sprouting: soak for 1 hour in 10% aqueous Sodium Hypochlorite solution (i.e. ordinary Clorox bleach diluted by half in water), rinse, then plant as usual. --- Brent
