> Best of luck. You really want at least two plants because most accessions of C. cardenasii are supposed to be self-sterile. If you didn't already, you should treat your other cardenasii seeds before sprouting: soak for 1 hour in 10% aqueous Sodium Hypochlorite solution (i.e. ordinary Clorox bleach diluted by half in water), rinse, then plant as usual. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Brent, Thanks much. I very, very seldom pretreat my pepper seeds. Sometimes an overnight soak in 'Byron's Tea' and sometimes with a half strength Miracle Gro 15-30-15 solution if I know the seeds are old or slow. I'll use the bleach on the remaining seeds as I really would like to have two plants. I think C. cardenasii will cross in at least one direction with pubescens and or eximium, but would have to look up to be sure. John
