> For now, I've put the green plastic screens back up. Any better ideas would be most welcome. Jim, I use rows of t-posts for my many container garden plants. They come with holes every few inches to hang fencing on. I string clothesline type wire through the holes at whatever height I need and tie the plants to the wires. Perhaps you could run a wire the length of your deck for stem support? Chickenwire cages protect my seedling flats from predators. And I use those 3' cheapo bamboo stakes all the time too. I'm amazed at how sturdy some of the baccatums are. A 5' high Brazilian Starfish might survive a nearby tornado. JohnT
