I have the same charts from several courses and agree re: the 
acidity/alkilinity of the soil. The other big deals are soil 
composition-clay to sandy which determines how often to add water and 
temperature. If your temperatures are less than 50F or more than 90F 
it doesn't matter how great your macro/micro nutrients or what your 
soil composition is. Your chiles aren't going to do well.

Bottom line: Get your soil tested!!!
