Another way that works is to put them thru a food grinder, you can select different sized plates to vary the sizes. We did some dry ones last year with an electric meat grinder and the results were good, a little smaller than typical pizza flakes, but, it killed the grinder, it doenst grind anymore, just puts out ozone. This year we are going to try a hand crank model. A benefit over the coffee grinder is that there is a LOT LESS dust floating around using a meat grinder.
