Mr. & Mrs. Hobby Farmer
That's a wicked good looking batch of rocoto's you have there!
You have the ripest looking pods I've seen so far this year as it seems
that everybody picks them just as soon as they turn a reddish color. Is
that the biggest pods you've gotten from the five year old plant? It's
hard to judge the size of them from the photo, but I'm guessing that
they only get about 2" in dia.? I'd be interested in some seeds &
willing to trade you for something you might want. I have quite a few
different varieties of peppers from which you could have. I think that
yours being so ripe that it'll be easier to start the seeds as I've had
problems in the past trying to get them to germinate.

I had a friend in Texas that was into growing peppers, but mostly he
liked the (anything) yellow. One day at a store he found that they
brought in some big yellow rocoto's, and he bought every one of them. He
sent me a box of them and boy where they big: they were about 3.5" to 4"
in dia, a bright yellow to a dark yellow. I stuffed some with spaghetti
& sauce and cooked them while reheating the spaghetti. Wow didn't they
heat up the spaghetti? ha ha They also had big black seeds in them.
