When you said red beans do you mean red kidney beans?
Making beans, home made beans is real easy & you can put what you want
in them.

English Baked Beans. They have them on toast. My daughter's boyfriend
is staying with us and he's English. They evidently devour these things
on toast and consider it a delicacy. I also have a young student in
high school from England and she fondly speaks of them too. We found
them (Heinz--which is what I get on Google searches) in an international
grocery for $2.99 a 14 oz can ("tin" to them). They are red beans in a
tomato sauce without the sweetness of the American version. But $2.99
a can is a lot for the musical fruit. I am in Bloomington, Indiana and
even the Sahara Mart doesn't carry them. So I want to make a pot.
The can says 49% beans, 25% tomato and then "other," so I need the
recipe for "other." They are rather bland to me, so my other "other"
will be kind of hot.
