Looks like this has generated some discussion on the list, so here is my
adventure with this recipe.

This was an assembly of compromises. The recipe called for a pound of
cranberries. I had a 12 oz bag, so I used 2 each, apples and pears.

I thought I had some raisins, but found out I really didn't. So, I picked
out enough raisins from a large bag of trail mix.

The airline I work for is in CH11 Bankruptcy, so I used Triple Sec instead
of Grand Marnier. I saw, on the list, that I was not the only one to do
this.

And last, but not least, I really did try to restrain myself, but was unable
to resist putting a half teaspoon of Jim's Red Savina powder in the mix
(fresh ones that I dehydrated).

It turned out great. My wife's friend asked for some for her Mom, who is an
84 years young chilehead. She loved it.

Mike, many thanks for posting this. I will make it year round.

I will be going to a Culver's Frozen Custard tomorrow (you Wisconsin
Chileheads know about Culver's). http://culvers.com/ I am thinking this
will be a perfect topping for a large dish of vanilla custard.

Blue skies,
Frank

I've posted this previously, but maybe not for a year or two ...

(I just googled for the recipe and found many many copies, all in my
original prose, some even giving me credit!) Many are on list member's
sites. This recipe is great, even for those not chile inclined.
