I have a packet of Chimayo seeds that I purchased in Santa Fe in
1990. I got them at half price because they were packed for 1989. I
start a couple every few years and they always germinate. If your
seeds are stored in a cool dry dark place they can last a long time.
I have no idea how long, but it's long.

Seeds are cheap, so most people don't keep them around just as they
grow peppers as annuals when they are in fact perrenials. I also
learned last night that they are not vegetables. They are berries!!!
