I had fun seeing him again last weekend in Madison, Indiana. That's where I
first met him, in that long back display room, at the first Madison hotluck
way back in the late ninteen hundreds.

I enjoyed frightening people with the Fatali Attraction sauce, this was its
first public appearance. It needs refinement; it's pretty much just
straight-ahead fatali so it's mighty hot but doesn't have a lot of fullness
to the flavor. It needs something to soften the edges and balance it out.

I didn't camp this year, but I did go around Ciifty Falls on with a camera
Saturday and Sunday mornings. It seemed like the season is coming on late
there this year; the wildflowers were hardly out at all. The air from the
bottom of the gorge was COLD.
