That's strange if you couldn't find a pod, the Hispanics are pouring into 
this place.  I have a decent little Mexican grocery just a five miniute walk 
away.  Simple jalapenos are in just about every grocery, though sometimes 
they can look a bit old.  Habs and serranos can be more hit-or-miss.    All 
the peppery Asian foods can be found, too.

If you come back, poke around the near west side, off Sullivant Avenue, and 
you can find a huge concentration of Mexicans, with restaurants and 
groceries.

It was a joke trying to get into a Mexan place on Cinco de Mayo this year!

As for my own supply, I'm 4 hours away from Jim's field, and I have a large 
reserve of canning jars...
