  That's all I've used for a light source for years.  I just put the two trays I use in
front of the living room windows, and don't even use a heat source, or an alternate light
source.  Of course, we always had crappy old windows in there, which probably let in a good
amount of heat.  Finally got them replaced with something more modern last fall, so we'll
see if there's any change in germination rates this coming season...

  I would imagine your results would vary depending on how much sunlight actually hits your
trays per day, etc.  All you can do is try, and take good notes to refer to next year... not
that I've ever done that myself...
