The forum is kinda slow so I'll post this kind of stuff until I get booed off:-) Louisiana had Hallowed Dreams, and now New Mexico has Peppers Pride. She improved her career record to 10 for 10 last month, when she won the $80,000 New Mexico Distaff Handicap at SunRay Park in Farmington. Hallowed Dreams won the first 16 races of her career to tie the modern mark for consecutive wins set by Citation, Mister Frisky, and Cigar. Most of those wins came in her homestate of Louisiana. Peppers Pride has raced exclusively in her homestate of New Mexico, and there are no immediate plans to ship out of state, trainer Joel Marr said. To date, she has won seven stakes and $524,405 for her owner and breeder, Joe Allen. "Obviously, we'd like to see her go, as long as we could, undefeated, not only for the money but just for the fact it's something kind of special," Marr said. "We hope that she could keep doing it." But "for us, she's already done more than we could ever ask. Anything else is just gravy." Does that gravy have chiles in it??? Dave TLCC http://www.tough-love.com
