Sandy mentioned stuffing black olives with jalapenos. that's the Moderate way. Honorable and tasty, yes, but I do it a little different.

I take several large seeded and cored jalapenos and stuff them with black olives (which have been stuffed with cream cheese. Then, slice the stuffed jalapenos in nice 1/4 inch rings, batter them (I dip in egg and roll in corn meal) then deep fry until golden brown.

Occasionally I'll stuff the olives with COOKED sausage, and proceed with the rest of the operation.
