Pods,

Our family contracted to have someone come to the house and do minor housework to help Mom.  By chance we got a young Somali woman,  a devout Moslem in a full burka.  She waters the gardens but isn't dressed to pull weeds, and she won't clean the refrigerator because it has pork in it, it isn't halal.

But, she knows hot peppers when she sees them.  She waters my pepper patch and got permission to pick some.  She seems to favor the Kung Pao, I'm guessing that's the closest to the type of peppers familiar to her.  

There's a bit of a language barrier but I'd like to ask her how she's using the peppers.  I'll suggest she try some of the Super Chili, too.

Off topic, today's newspaper has an article abut Somali families moving into some new homes built by Habitat for Humanity.  I'm thinking, I should send them some of our mint...
