I most humbly suggest the Moderate Corps take as their insignia
a replica of a Peter pepper cast in either brass or bronze
chemically washed so that it aquires a fine greenish blue platina
then buffed to a soft polish.
Perhaps the officers could have theirs done up in tarnished silver.
This could be used as either a hat pin or brouch.
The ensignia would of course be pinned as a Peter pepper usually
hangs from the plant.
