Yes there is an isolated pollination You can do 1 of several methods, Nearest other same type species, grown 1/4th mile away. Plant bagging with insect type floating row cover Blossom bagging with a chunk of panty hose. Plant only types that won't cross pollinate in your garden. Ask some semi retired folks to grow a plant for you. Just a few Idea's If you have Dewitts "The Pepper Garden" it will tell you which ones will cross pollinate. If not, let me know and give me a few days to a month, I have a chart somewhere in the old 'puter Byron Okay guys, probably a dumb question, but I know we've all heard open pollination and grown in isolation as terms to describe the pollination of our wonderful little pepper producing friends, but is there an actual term for the isolated pollination? I know some people do hand pollination which I personally have had good luck with, and some people use bees or other critters to assist. Just kind of wondering if it would be correct and not just a little funny to say my peppers are bred in captivity? Lol
