Another from Cook This, Not That. They compared it to a hot dog at Five Guys that had onions and relish on it. They gave the comparison in calories, fat and sodium, which was a lot. This came out really good. I never thought of putting salsa and jalapenos on a hot dog. Just great. Mexican Hot Dogs 4 hot dogs 4 scallions, bottoms trimmed 4 whole wheat hot dog buns, warmed 4 tbsp bottled salsa guacamole pickled jalapenos Heat a grill, or stovetop grill pan, until hot. Add the hot dogs and scallions (work in batches, if necessary) and cook until lightly charred on all sides, about 10 minutes. Tuck the hot dogs into the rolls and top each with salsa, guacamole, a grilled scallion and some pickled jalapenos.
