 Cowhorn

 A 10" long heirloom pepper whose fruit curl at the tip and look like a 
 large: cow horn. These large, thick-walled cayenne peppers are named 
 for their shape. The fruit turns bright red when mature and are quite 
 hot. The wrinkled fruit are excellent for sauces and drying. 
 
 Lemon Drop

 Very Hot.   Peruvian seasoning pepper. Bright yellow, conical, crinkly fruits are ½" wide by 2½" long, very few seeds, 15 or less per pepper. Plants 2' high and equally wide are covered with dozens of fruits. Fiery hot, citrus flavor.  Heat increases as season 
 progresses.
 
 Pearl

 Dusky blue-green foliage.  Seed acquired from Tyrone Washington from plants that grew wild in his mother’s  garden in the Watts area of Los Angeles.  Named in her honor.  Tall plants produce 1 inch long black and dark green narrow fruit that turns red at maturity.  EXTREMELY HOT! 
 
 Chocolate Habañero 'Congo Black'

 The notorious and EXTREMELY HOT Chocolate Habañero ranks among the 
 deadly few at the top of the heat scale registering upto 450,000 
 scoville heat units.  Also known as the 'Congo Black' the fruits have a
 unique, rich flavor unduplicated by any other pepper. The 2" fruits 
 ripen from an emerald green to a gorgeous, chocolate brown approximately 
 100 days after transplanting. The ultimate salsa pepper used to make the
 famous Jamaican Jerk Sauce.
 
 Cumari

 Very hot; Capsicum baccatum. Plant produces high yields of 1 1/4" 
 by 3/4" wide hot peppers. Peppers are extremely hot 
n from light 
 green, to pale yellow, to yellow-orange when mature. Plant has green 
 stems, green leaves, and white flowers. A variety from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
 
 El Chaco

 Very hot. Named after the vast plains in South America near the Paraguay 
 River, the thin, 4 inch slightly curved pods are abundant on this 18 
 inch plant.  The fruits start off green, turning yellow,  then maturing
 to a deep orange-red color.  This one's hotter than cayenne, tabasco or 
 Thai hot.   A good choice for drying or fresh use!
 
 Malagueta

 Very Hot. Variety from Brazii that produces good yields of 1" long by 
 1/4" wide hot peppers. Peppers grow upright and turn from green, to 
 orange, to red when mature. United States Department of Agriculture, 
 PI 497984. A variety from Brazil. Plant Height: 34" tall.  Also 
 referred to as Piri-Piri.  
 
 Siling Labuyo

 An erect, branched and half-woody plant. Fruit is small, 
 oblong-lanceolate, many-seeded pod that reddens on riping. A very hot 
 variety commonly used in dipping sauces (tokwa’t baboy) and some stews 
 like kaldereta. Siling labuyo can also be finely chopped, toasted in 
 oil and sprinkled on fried rice or adobo. But that’s for those who 
 enjoy very, very spicy food.  This is the real Filipino Siling Labuyo.
 
 Yellow Fire

 Obtained from Mike Wadsworth of Mike’s Sickle Shop, who got them from 
 Joe Harris, a biker who developed them.  Very hot, very prolific 3 foot 
 bushes are covered with green cayenne shaped peppers that turn bright 
 lemon yellow then ripen to red.  One customer called these “yellow 
 rooster spur”.

 I still have this unidentified chile.  I hope someone on this list
 will be able to grow it out and identify it.  It looks like Cascabella
 except the immature fruit is dark green, like a Jalapeno or Serrano,

 crunch.  White flowers like C. annuum, but the ripe fruit presents
 the seeds more in a placenta pulp, like C. frutescens.  Fruits are
 1 1/4" long by 1/4" wide conical shaped and ripen quickly from dark
 green to red.
