	IIRC "The Pepper Garden" (DeWitt/Bosland)
	mentions ants as a possible pollinator.  I also
	have ants in my plants and they don't seem 
	to hurt.  Just be sure to keep an eye out for
	aphids, as the ants sometimes "farm" them 
	for the honeydew (sugary substance) they
	secrete.
