Hunan is a Chinese province, which like Sichuan is noted for it's
spicy foods. If one chops up chiles and fails to remove the
capsiacin from the hands and then touches areas of the body like
the eyes or other areas containing mucous membranes, one
experiences the effects of "Hunan Hand".

China is 4th in world chile production after India, Mexico and
Indonesia according to Dave DeWitt in his new book,"The Chile
Pepper Encyclopedia".

.I'm old but not this old...how did "Hunan Hand" get its name?
