Mostly they watch the birds (one of the chile's favourite vectors)
Even as far as 500 NM from land birds will range in search of whatever
their tiny little brains crave. The Polynesians were/are also masters
at reading wave patterns and other indicators and at celestial
navigation.

Of course, Easter Island has no native bird population and no chiles
either AFAIK. D'ye suppose that the one has something to do with the
other??? B^)=
