I doubt it is genetic- I've met some pretty heat intolerant people in the fire service as well. As a whole they might tend towards the spicier but there are some who think ketchup qualifies as 'hot sauce' and to whom black pepper is incendiary! 'Course, they went hungry when I cooked ;-) -Jim C MWPH
