Hi All,
The Sawtell Chili Festival Chile results.
Qualifiying criteria - eat and chew 6 golden habanero's
Qualifiers 10.
Main event only 7 turned up, 3 did not recover from chewing the 6 Habs,<g>
The Mission 1 6inch tall beverage cup of chopped and pureed Habanero's ,
with a few other chile's thrown in, and a Dixie cup of whole Birds Eye
Chiles on the side..
2 and a half minutes later the winner was declared, 6 Did Not Finish..

The Prizes were 2 tickets to the local movie theatre $100.00 cash, and
$500.00 worth of Chile Sauces from Chili Man of Muswellbrook the main
sponsor of the event..
Anyway I won't be looking at tasting the Chile sauces for a while at least
till i get over the headache and the Burning ring of fire.
Gave Chile-Heads a plug when being interviewed for the local TV but they
edited it out.
Passed around some of Dale Freemans smoked Habs, (well bits of them anyway)
and these were received quite well.
Invited back to defend my title next year, I'll get back to them on this if
I recover. This is not a job for the faint hearted or one I could recommend
for list members to try, but hell someone had to do it..
