	I may not be an authority, but I can quote from "Peppers
	of the World" (DeWitt/Bosland):

	"In many cases, location means origin, such as listing
	Yucatan as the location for classic orange habaneros."
	page 4

	"In the Yucatan Peninsula the C. chinense is called habanero,
	which means "from Havana," hinting of a transference to
	Mexico from the Caribbean."    page 60

	In the photo section for C. chinense, "Location: Yucatan
	Peninsula, Mexico, and Belize"   page 71
