Dear lovers of peppers and haters of horn worms,

For those of you who are having trouble with the tomato horn worm, try
planting rue. It is the best trap crop that I have ever seen. It may very
well attract the little beast to your garden, but it doesn't really matter,
because they would much rather eat rue than you chiles. I discovered this
last summer by accident when I planted rue for the first time. I had the
honor of squishing about 50 of them during the course of the season.
They were all found on my one rue plant. Rue reportedly has some medicinal
value and it seems that those little creatures are rue junkies.

Warm wishes from the Israeli coastal plain. May there be no chill in your
chile.
