Hey all,
I started a thread of this sort at the beginning of the growing season so
figured now I'd input an observation I have had regarding Bolivian Rainbow
(green leaves, seeds from Cameron) and my purple foliage plant (tentatively
labeled Bolivian Rainbow last Spring). The Cameron plants, as I mentioned,
have green foliage, and the peppers go from green to red. With my purple
plants, the peppers are smaller and go from purple to almost white to
yellow to orange to red. I do believe that Bolivian can have purple
foliage, but don't think that is what I have. I base this on the fact that
I totally trust Cameron's identification of his seeds and I think there
would be more similarities in the peppers if the two plants were closely
related.
My purple plant seeds were sent to me from a person who is no longer a
list member. I have decided to accept my lack of identification and just
appreciate the purple plants. They really are gorgeous (I'll post a url
for picts when the film is done...could be months) with peppers of nice
heat. Good enough for me!
Now off to make more of Dave S.'s Slow Burn Savina Sauce...good eatin *g*
P.S. to relate this to the post copied below - based upon the color
change I believe those plants may be BRs.
