[CH] how to configure MicroSoft mailers to send ASCII-only mail

As many on our list have mentioned over the years, sending ASCII-only mail
to mailing lists like chile-heads is a good idea.  Digest readers cannot
read most attachments anyway (as I understand), and some of the rest of us
find them annoying, too.
