I am growing Chocolate Habs along with my Franciscas. The Franciscas set out
very light green , large fruit at least a week earlier than the Chocolate
Habs. The Chocolate Habs set a very, very dark smaller fruit later and have
just started to ripen. But imagine my surprise when the Chocolate Habs
started turning orange!! I got the seeds from peppers that were so deep
brown that they actually looked like they had been dipped in chocolate. Only
a few of them have started to ripen so I am hoping I get some brown ones. I
don't guess that there is any chance the ones that turned orange will
darken,eh? Maybe I'll just have to chocolate coat them - which actually
doesn't sound like a bad idea.
