<< By the way.
I'm kind of curious that there are several "persons" on this list that just
happen to keep trumpeting how great "your" seeds are, but no mention of
anyone else's seeds, and of course you're here too. >>
Does "persons" in quotes mean that we aren't really people, Roystie?
Do you think Dave is writing to himself? Just what is your issue as it
relates to Chiles, anyway?
You mentioned PepperJoe <<one of the best seed suppliers in the nation yet
there is nar a mention of him.>> I can't speak for anyone else, and I think
PJ's organics are probably wonderful - but -
When I went shopping for seeds last January, PJ was charging about .40 per
seed for Peter Peppers (10 @ 3.99) and .20 a seed for Giant Serranos (15 @
2.99) plus 2.50 for shipping.
Dave at Tough-Love was (and is) charging: "Most packets contain 20 seeds.
Prices per packet are US $1.00 each and discounted if you purchase any of our
collections. Some rare or expensive varieties including Hybrids contain 10
seeds per packet."
That would be .05 to .10 per seed, yes? Also, Dave had every seed that I
wanted to try, available for purchase (Guajillos and Chimayos, as well as Big
Jim).
PJ didn't.
Dave at Tough-Love replaced my Chimayo seeds even though they sprouted and
grew for a while before succumbing to God knows what. Obviously, he didn't
have to do that, in fact I told him not to bother. But he replaced them
anyway.
If you think this is some conspiracy among Dave and his friends, then I feel
sorry for you. I am a "person." I'm even a person.
I resent your tone, deeply.
