[CH] Cut-Rate Seeds

Been busy. Finally caught up on
reading all my chile-digests.
Someone mentioned how
cheap one seed suppliers
seeds were.

I must interject my two cents worth
about price and quality.

I dont know about the rest
of you but my experience and
opinion is that you get what you pay for.

I'd much rather pay a little
more up front and know I am
purchasing a quality product
and avoid far reaching problems
later on.

Time is money.

It can be quite expensive in lost growing
time when you purchase cheap
seeds and they turn out to be defective.

However, no one is more frugal
than I. I even save my bread sacks
to pack sliced chiles in for freezing.

But there are some things I have
learned not to scrimp on-among
them are vegetable seeds, the
grade of gasoline for my truck
and the type of beer I drink.

Low quality in any of these
areas can lead to greater
problems down the road.

I calculated it out long ago
and found that when you figure
in all the time and trouble from
buying some cheap products you would
actually have saved more money
by buying the more expensive brand.

So don't complain and curse
a supplier when he/she sells
you super cheap seeds and
you have problems with them
later on. Be thankful for the
good seeds you did get.

You get what you pay for.

My two cents worth. Now I'm
ready to be hammered by the
neurotics on the list.
