Hi Steve,
I suggest contacting a company called Hygrotech. They specialise in bulk
sales to farmers and I know of a couple of local (Malmesbury area) farmers
who have grown red and orange habs as well as poblanos, mulatos and
jalapenos with seed acquired from the company.
My own experience of phoning them resulted in an offer of a free
subscription to their "Hygrotech Forum" magazine (I now get it regularly)
and a promise that their man in charge of chile seed would contact me
(didn't happen).
I think that a bit more persistence might pay dividends, though. The habs
were available in Cape Town last year and were great.
Head Office seems to be
 1 Gerhard Braak St
Pyramid 0120
PO Box 17220
Pretoria North 0116
Tel. (012)5450100
Fax.(012)5450170
but they have regional offices in Bloemfontein, Durban,East London, George,
Grootfontein, Harare, Kimberley, Louis Trichardt, Lusaka, Nairobi,
Nelspruit, Pietermaritzburg, Stellenbosch, Tzaneen, Uitenhage, Wellington
and Windhoek.
Hope this helps:
Cheers
