Upon return from Jim Campbell's chile fields about a month ago, I was faced
with the daunting task of chopping nearly 50 pounds of red savinas. I
thought I was prepared, wore gloves and everything (something I usually
don't do). Unfortunately I dropped a piece of chopped hab on the floor and,
while in stocking feet, stepped on it. I thought nothing of it but later
that day (after having my feet confined to shoes for several hours), I came
down with the nastiest HOT FOOT I've ever known. So a reminder to all of you
out there...You protect your eyes, your hands, and many other
nasty-when-burned parts, but don't forget to wear shoes as well (also handy
if one drops a gallon zip-lock bag full of ground red savina powder in the
kitchen and has to unexpectedly evacuate into inclement weather outdoors).
This hasn't happened yet, but my wife swears it will ;)

Happy Habbing and Getting ready for Seasonings Greetings and all that stuff,

Jeff
