I've used the Wally Waters (as I like to call them) for 4 years now. I find they allow me to plant at least two weeks earlier because they protect the plants from most late spring frosts. Here in Wisconsin you can have two weeks of wonderful weather for growing and then a late frost that would kill the plants without protection. They also protect the young plants from getting eaten .
