Heads,
Canada wins one! There is a U.S. version of both regular, and spicy
Clamato, from Stamford, Ct. The Canadian versions are from Mississauga, Ont.
Boys & Girls, they sho nuff ain't the same! The U.S. version is better
than nothing, but can be quite good with judicious amendments. Canada has
the best product. I've used both "regular" Clamatos, and buy only "spicy"
now. For several years I've enjoyed "Bloody Caesars" without knowing their
name.
It's a long drive from Paris, Tx to Ontario, Ca. My wifey's kin live in
Ont. She thinks the main reason for the trip is to visit my inlaws. Ha!
If you gotta use the U.S. stuff, try this when tuning it up: Tabasco,
Worcestershire, splash Angostura bitters, celery salt, and a coupla cubes of
beef bouillon per quart, which won't wanna dissolve in the fridge. Heat it
up to dissolve the bouillon, then back to the jug, and into the fridge.
