Well, if you want really good martini's try Bombay Blue Sapphire that has a 
few pods swimming around in the bottle in the freezer for a few weeks. (Habs 
are good, but my favorite are the Thai's.)  I like the 8/1 ratio and top off 
with a hab stuffed olive.  Now that IS a martini!  Use only Martini & Rossi 
Vermouth and shake with ice- no stirring allowed.  This makes crystals of 
Bombay - oh it's a beautiful thing.

Martini's were first served/invented just a few miles up the road from here 
in Martinez when a guy in the 1870's stopped in a bar and asked for "a pick 
me up."  Believe me the Alamo version with the pods is a real "pick me up"!
