There is the problem. The Brits insisted on their foods being labeled as
such
and boycotted it  Plus several other countries.

In the US there are over 30,000 items with this crap in it, that never went
thru full FDA testing. And it is not labeled. There was a group of peaceful
protesters at the WTO that wanted to get this point across, by some
folks insisted on violent crap and their words got lost.

There was 3 meetings scheduled in the US about this, eveidently
the first 2 there was so much opposition that the third was changed a few 
times so that they couldn't be found. 

Here is one draw back that has recently surfaced, The artifical sweetener
in cola's are made from a soy derivative. Over 100,000 folks that are
drinking
more than a 6 pack a day are getting symptoms of MS or MD.

I can't agree with you more, if it's in my bread, my milk, my beer or my
chili's I want to know about it before I stuff it in my face.
