This was a really tasty part of our New Year's feast.
Figured I would share:

Renee's chile, basil and sesame marinade for beef or chicken
Makes enough for 6 to 8 servings of chicken or beef
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Tablespoons sesame oil
2 dried red chile peppers, crushed
( I used 4, could've used more! )
1 to 2 teaspoons minced ginger
8 large basil leaves or 1 teaspoon dry

Combine all ingredients in bowl. Stir vigorously.
To use, pour over chicken parts or whole beef tenderloin in
glass dish or zipper plastic bag; cover or close, and marinate 4 to 24
hours in refrigerator, turning occasionally, depending on available time
or preference for intensity of flavor. Remove. Grill chicken or beef
over very hot grill until cooked to desired temperature.

This was great. I think fresh habs instead of dried peppers would've
been awesome. Definitely use the fresh basil. Yum!
