Byron  and other "gardening gurus"

Our soil is 6.7/6.8 whether I test our natural unaltered soil or my raised 
beds which are a mixture of half soil and half Kellogg's.  My question is I 
think I should add some kind of nutrient to the soil such as chicken poop, 
but wasn't sure so last year I added one more bag of Kellogg's to each 4' x 
8' raised beds dug it in and that was it.  Tried some watered down fertilizer 
on some chiles last year and fried them!
