now, now...whilst bell peppers don't have the heat, they *are* a Fruit
of
El Grande and we should not be cursing them lest we bring the wrath of
El
Grande upon us, and since spring be just around da corner, folks, i
surely
don't want the Big Burrito flingin' down pestilence and wicked hungry
locust on my arse, much less my garden...nonetheless, i admit i also
find
them, particularly green bells, to be the most frequent bitter-tasting
ones, but let them lie about in a nice dark cold room for a while, and
they
often redden up...and then you roast those babies...now roasted peppers,

well, imo, that be a good thing...roasted red pepper hummus be
deeee-lish...roasted pepper and garlic chive couscous, oh
yeaaaa....grilled
roasted pepper/monterey jack cheese (or habanero jack) sammich with some

tomato soup (can you say comfort food? yes, yes you can)...boil some
crookneck squash, sautee some onions, throw it all together into a
blender
with some roasted peppers, season to your desire (nutmeg is mandatory,
imo), and baby, that's some mighty damn fine roasted pepper/squash
soup...add some roasted bells to your next batch of salsa...or just
roast
'em, smoke some jalapenos (or whatyouwill...), puree it all up and sauce
up
some grilled pork loin/chops/parts...it's even pretty good in a game of
Name That Lubricant Twister, indeed...

ahem...

well, it be good, regardless...

Peace, Hendrix, and Chiles.......
