[CH] compost update

Last fall (year, millennium) I posted about a lazy man's
way to compost leaves (shred, bag, water, wait). After 5
months I opened one of the trash bags up and applied it to
one of the beds. It was about 50% fairly well composted,
but there was quite a bit that hadn't gotten as far as I would
have liked, was still kind of dry. I wetted it down and turned
it into the soil, then wetted down the soil some more. It
should be OK by the time I get to planting.
The keys to making this method work seem to be:
1) Use plenty of water. A trash bag full of shredded leaves
will hold a surprising amount.
2) Use a good quality trash bag. Mine were OK, but a
cheapo-brand won't make it through the process.
