Catharine, I'm neither casting a vote pro or con, but both my
daughter and I were put on tetracycline permanently to
control a chronic facial flushing called 'acne rosasea' <sp?>.
The only side effect I know of is that this also protects the
traveler from catching the endemic Chinese upper respiratory
infection when touring.
