Hi David,
    Chili powder is pure powdered chili peppers. Chili mixes have garlic, cumin,
coriander, salt, paprika, etc.
    Since my purpose is to use homegrown to make homemade, I do my mixing as I am
doing the cooking. Depending on who is eating the chile some people like more or
less cumin, fresh cilantro, etc.
