Well, what I used to have on the house plants were not aphids nor
white flies, but very tiny brown flies which apparently liked to nest
in the soil. Have had 100% success with adding a squirt of liquid
soap to each gallon container of water which I always prepare
ahead of need and allow to stand so it will be room temperature.
This must make the soil unappealing for nesting.
